QIC Pays $422M For 700-Mile South Australia Pipeline

Law360, New York (April 12, 2013, 1:36 PM EDT) -- Australian gas infrastructure firm APA Group has sold a nearly 700-mile pipeline system in South Australia to institutional asset manager QIC Global Infrastructure for AU$400.6 million (US$421.9 million), both companies said Friday.

QIC will assume control of the Moomba-Adelaide Pipeline System (MAPS), which transports natural gas from a gas hub in Moomba to the southern Australian port city of Adelaide. The 735-mile pipeline system services the robust South Australia natural gas market and includes two major laterals to the regional centers of Port Pirie/Whyalla and Angaston....
