Whittier Farms Tied To Listeria Outbreak

Law360, New York (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Massachusetts state officials confirmed Wednesday that Whittier Farms Dairy was the source of the deadly listeria contamination that sickened two people and killed two others.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health said it was continuing its public health investigation of Whittier’s contaminated products. The department said that a specific source of contamination at the company’s Shrewsbury, Mass., processing plant has not yet been identified.
