Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 7:20 PM EDT) -- A $524 million verdict against two units of United HealthCare Services Inc. for negligently failing to monitor an in-network doctor allegedly responsible for a hepatitis C outbreak should be a wake-up call to health maintenance organizations across the country to ensure their oversight practices are tough enough to defend against similar suits, experts say.
