Walmart Didn't Infringe Speedtrack's Patent, Fed. Circ. Rules

Law360, Los Angeles (April 16, 2013, 3:13 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Tuesday said USA LLC and software company Endeca Technologies Inc. didn’t infringe a patent held by Speedtrack Inc. for methods of accessing information from a storage system, affirming a lower court’s ruling as “reasonable.”

The decision comes more than a year after U.S. District Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton granted Walmart and Endeca’s motion for summary judgment of noninfringement but held that Speedtrack’s computer filing system patent was not invalid. The Federal Circuit affirmed both decisions.
