Atty Can't Duck $50M SEC Judgment In Pump-And-Dump Scam

Law360, New York (April 17, 2013, 5:46 PM EDT) -- An Oklahoma attorney sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a multimillion dollar pump-and-dump scheme lost his Tenth Circuit bid Tuesday to dodge a $50 million judgment in a civil case over the fraud.

The appeals court said a lower court correctly granted the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission summary judgment in its case against former attorney G. David Gordon, who allegedly devised and engaged in a scheme to defraud investors of approximately $43 million by manipulating three publicly traded penny stocks....
