DC Circ. Won't Block ACA Rule On Medicare Referral System

Law360, New York (April 17, 2013, 9:48 PM EDT) -- The D.C. Circuit on Tuesday denied an emergency injunction bid by two medical groups that sought to stave off an Affordable Care Act requirement that doctors enroll in an online provider system to receive reimbursements for Medicare referrals.

A three-judge panel denied the bid by the Maryland-based Alliance for Natural Health USA and the Arizona-based Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, saying in a brief opinion only that they had not met the requirements to obtain such an injunction.
