Va. High Court Resurrects $50M Coal Mining Dispute

Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 7:44 PM EDT) -- The Virginia Supreme Court on Thursday revived a $50 million dispute between rival coal mining magnates Hugh M. Caperton and Donald Blankenship, ruling unanimously that Caperton's 2010 suit against Blankenship's Massey Energy Corp. involves different evidence than his 1998 breach of contract suit against the company.
