Triton Shells Out $815M For Abengoa Waste Management Unit

Law360, New York (April 18, 2013, 8:31 PM EDT) -- Spain-based renewable energy company Abengoa will sell its industrial waste management unit Befesa Medio Ambiente SA to funds advised by investment firm Triton Partners for €625 million ($815 million), Abengoa said Thursday.

The deal, which values Befesa’s assets at €1.08 billion, includes the payment of a €352 million cash consideration when the deal closes closing, a €48 million vendor note with a four-year maturity and a deferred consideration of €225 million, according to a statement by Abengoa.
