Terrorism Risk Insurance Act — To Renew Or Not To Renew
April 22, 2013, 1:42 PM EDT
Law360, New York (April 22, 2013, 1:42 PM EDT) -- The Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) is set to expire at the end of next year. It has evolved over its lifespan, yet the uncertainty of the risks TRIA addresses begs the question whether it should, as Hamlet considered, continue to protect against the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune or shuffle off its mortal coil.
That question is likely to be answered differently depending on the interested party and how Congress may amend the current form of the law.
