Law360, Miami (April 19, 2013, 4:58 PM EDT) -- The divide in the Florida State Legislature over how to extend health care coverage for the state's uninsured remains wide open after the House Appropriations Committee on Friday advanced that chamber's alternative to the Affordable Care Act's federal Medicaid expansion, continuing to reject any federal funding.
“I will fight with my last breath to keep you off of Medicaid and get you onto private insurance,” said Rep. Richard Corcoran, R-Land O'Lakes, one of the leaders in shaping H.B. 7169.
