Justices Deny Cert In Monsanto Mass Tort Case

Law360, New York (January 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- It's the end of the line for a group of plaintiffs hoping to force Monsanto Inc. to pay additional damages in a lawsuit filed over the improper disposal of pollutants, after the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the case.

On Monday, the justices declined to hear Walter Owens v. Monsanto Inc., a case that centers on a “most favored nations” clause included in the eventual settlement agreement reached between plaintiffs and Monsanto.
