Gov't Appeals Fraud Acquittal For Amkor Counsel

Law360 (January 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Federal prosecutors have appealed a Pennsylvania district court's ruling that overturned a jury conviction against a former general counsel of Amkor Technology Inc. on three insider trading charges.

U.S. attorneys on Tuesday appealed the ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, which acquitted Kevin Heron of two counts of securities fraud and one of conspiracy. The court's decision did uphold one count of securities fraud against Heron.
