Ind. Compounder Recalls Drugs Over Sterility Concerns

Law360, New York (April 23, 2013, 4:50 PM EDT) -- Indiana compounding pharmacy Nora Apothecary & Alternative Therapies announced Monday that it was recalling all of its sterile drug products currently in circulation, citing quality control issues uncovered during a recent U.S. Food and Drug Administration inspection.

According to the Indianapolis-based pharmacy, the voluntary recall was initiated over its concerns that it could not guarantee all the purportedly sterile drugs it had compounded and dispensed on or before April 19 were actually sterile, after receiving the agency's inspection report.
