GSK Looks To Unload Lucozade, Ribena Energy Drink Brands

Law360, New York (April 24, 2013, 1:12 PM EDT) -- U.K. pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline PLC has decided to unload the popular energy drink brands Lucozade and Ribena as it looks to focus on emerging markets, deals that could fetch more than £1 billion ($1.53 billion) combined, according to an earnings release by GSK on Wednesday.

In a release announcing its 2013 first-quarter financials, GSK said it completed a strategic review of Lucozade and Ribena earlier this month.
