Weil Chastised By Fed. Circ. For Conflict Rule Violation

Law360, New York (April 24, 2013, 7:03 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Wednesday reprimanded Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP for violating a rule that bars former employees of the court from working on cases that were pending before the court during their employment.

A Weil associate advised Newegg Inc. on a response brief to a petition for rehearing by Soverain Software LLC in a patent suit that had been pending while the associate was a clerk at the Federal Circuit.
