Pa. Injects $91M Into Water Infrastructure Upgrades

Law360, New York (April 24, 2013, 7:18 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority is funneling $91 million in loans and grants into drinking water and wastewater projects across the state, according to a Wednesday statement.

A board for the agency, also known as Pennvest, authorized the new funds on Wednesday. Projects expected to benefit from new investments range from tree-planting initiatives meant to control stormwater surges to upgrades to an existing wastewater treatment plant, according to the statement.

Currently, 22 project are in line to get a piece of the bankroll. About $84 million...
