Mass. Demands Swift Action On Boston Bombing Claims

Law360, New York (April 26, 2013, 1:34 PM EDT) -- A Massachusetts regulator ordered insurers Thursday to promptly investigate business interruption, property damage, medical and other claims from the Boston Marathon bombings, issuing a bulletin that sets out a slew of other guidance.

The Massachusetts Division of Insurance says it expects insurance companies to give some leeway to those who are blocked off from their homes and businesses by extending deadlines for premium payments, reporting damage or other requirements under their policies.
