Mexican Cucumber Suppliers Linked To Salmonella Outbreak

Law360, New York (April 26, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT) -- Federal officials on Thursday linked two Mexican cucumber suppliers and an Arizona distributor to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened 73 people in 18 states.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other federal, state and local agencies determined that the two suppliers, Daniel Cardenas Izabal and Miracle Greenhouses SA de CV, were the likely source of an outbreak of Salmonella Saintpaul in the U.S. The distributor is Tricar Sales Inc. of Rio Rico, Ariz., according to the CDC.
