Fracking Not Behind Methane Contamination, Pa. DEP Says

Law360, Philadelphia (April 30, 2013, 4:14 PM EDT) -- After a 16-month investigation, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection announced Monday that hydraulic fracturing for natural gas by WPX Energy Inc. in the northeast corner of the state was not responsible for methane contamination in three private water wells in the area.
