Nortel, Disabled Workers Await Final OK On $25M Deal

Law360, Wilmington (April 30, 2013, 10:33 PM EDT) -- The committee representing Nortel Networks Inc.'s disabled employees asked a Delaware bankruptcy judge Tuesday for final approval of a $25 million settlement and permission to begin paying out the proceeds, but was unable to get a ruling on either during a six-hour hearing.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross, who gave the settlement his initial approval in February, was unable to deliver a ruling Tuesday as an already length proceeding was bogged down with individual objections that weren't always on point.
