Personal Injury Firm Sued For FLSA Violations

Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Florida personal injury law firm has been hit with a proposed collective action by an employee who claims she was bilked out of overtime pay for almost two years.

Maria Mercado, an office assistant, charged that Reich & Mancini PA and the firm's two name partners failed to pay her the overtime rate mandated in the Fair Labor Standards Act for more than 40 hours of work per week.
