Cheniere Gets Thumbs-Up From FERC On La. LNG Project

Law360, New York (May 1, 2013, 6:48 PM EDT) -- Cheniere Energy Inc.’s plans for additions to a liquefied natural gas export terminal in Louisiana won’t significantly harm the environment, staff at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said in a study published Wednesday.

With more than 40 conditions, many related to safety equipment, proposed modifications to the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal deserve the commission’s blessing, FERC staff wrote in a 98-page environmental assessment.
