TransCanada Will Sink $900M Into Alberta Pipeline, Terminal

Law360, New York (May 2, 2013, 2:27 PM EDT) -- TransCanada Corp. said Thursday that it's inked long-term shipping agreements that will allow the company to build, own and operate a proposed $900 million pipeline and terminal project that would transport crude oil from Canada's tar sands to a supply terminal north of Edmonton, Alberta.

TransCanada said the proposed Heartland pipeline would transport crude oil some 125 miles from Hardisty, Alberta, to its proposed TC Terminal in the Heartland industrial area north of Edmonton. The company said the pipeline could ultimately transport up to 900,000 barrels...
