McCain Foods Offers EU Antitrust Fixes On Lutosa Buy

Law360, New York (May 6, 2013, 7:05 PM EDT) -- McCain Foods Ltd. and PinguinLutosa Food Group on Thursday offered the European Commission antitrust fixes for a deal to send Pinguin's €225 million ($294 million) Lutosa division to McCain food.

The European Union antitrust watchdog pushed back its deadline to review the deal until May 28 as a result of the commitment offer. The EC didn't provide additional details about the proposed fixes, and representatives for McCain and Lutosa were not immediately available for comment Monday.
