One Window Shuts For Interstate Bakeries

Law360 (January 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Interstate Bakeries Corp. has run out of time to exclusively control its bankruptcy case, throwing open the door for rival proposals on how best to catapult the bakery giant out of Chapter 11.

On Monday, IBC's sole right to file a Chapter 11 plan and retain authority over its case came to an end, casting some doubt on whether a scheduled Jan. 22 auction of plan financing rights will actually take place.

A representative from Interstate Bakeries could not be immediately reached for comment on Friday....
