Atty's Supervisory Role Allows Firing For Salary Talk: NLRB

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 6:50 PM EDT) -- An Alabama law firm broke federal labor law by barring employees from discussing their salaries, but didn't violate the provision against canning workers who do so, because the lawyer it fired last year was a supervisor and thus unprotected by the statute, according to a Monday decision by the National Labor Relations Board.
