Health Clinic Therapist Cops To $63M Medicare Fraud

Law360, Miami (May 7, 2013, 4:45 PM EDT) -- A former Health Care Solutions Network Inc. director and psychologist on Tuesday pled guilty to conspiring in a $63 million Medicare and Medicaid scheme in which the mental health care provider allegedly paid kickbacks in exchange for unnecessary patient referrals.

Alina Feas, 53, of Miami, entered a guilty plea before U.S. District Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga on one count of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and one substantive count of health care fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida....
