Samsung Probe Heats Up With Raids

Law360, New York (January 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Following the November raids of two Samsung Group subsidiaries, the homes and offices of key company executives were raided Monday as part of a bribery investigation.

Investigators seized documents and computers from the Seoul, South Korea, office of Samsung Chairman Lee Kun-hee's office and from the homes of other executives, according to the Korea Times.

The simultaneous raids meant that the independent counsel either secured evidence about Samsung's alleged irregularities or received a tip that evidence would be found at the homes of those employees, the...
