Data Security Still A Top Worry For GCs

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 8:05 AM EDT) -- Managing and mitigating risk around cybersecurity, information technology strategy, Dodd-Frank regulatory compliance and leadership succession are the primary concerns for U.S. directors and general counsel, according to a survey released Wednesday by FTI Consulting Inc. and Corporate Board Member.

The 13th annual Law and the Boardroom Study’s findings show a continued escalation of concern over data security and IT risk. Last year, for the first time, data security was the most often-cited legal issue of concern for both general counsel, with 55 percent of those surveyed...
