Ziegler Slams Edwards Wildman Over Costly Discovery Mishap

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 6:31 PM EDT) -- Investment bank B.C. Ziegler and Co. on Tuesday hit law firm Edwards Wildman Palmer LLP with a suit in Illinois court alleging it released confidential customer information while representing the bank, setting off a flurry of claims against the bank involving a soured investment. 

The law firm fueled 18 other claims against Ziegler by accidentally providing opposing counsel in a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority arbitration with Ziegler's customer contact information, according to the complaint filed in Illinois Circuit Court of Cook County.
