Ethan Allen Starts New Fight For Anti-Dumping Payouts

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 1:25 PM EDT) -- Furniture retailer Ethan Allen Global Inc. on Wednesday filed its latest bid to win a cut of anti-dumping duties under the now-defunct Byrd Amendment, arguing that a Federal Circuit ruling last summer entitled the company to part of the proceeds.

The Continued Dumping and Subsidy Offset Act, known as the CDSOA or the Byrd Amendment, declared that punitive duties would be divvied up between affected domestic producers, but it restricted eligibility to companies that had helped the duty investigation.
