Obama Orders All Agencies To Make Info More Accessible

Law360, New York (May 9, 2013, 5:56 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday issued an executive order directing federal agencies to make information more accessible to the public, saying it will encourage private-sector innovation and economic growth while increasing government efficiency and transparency.

In an order and memorandum issued to all the heads of executive agencies and departments, Obama said federal information must be collected and created in a way that supports downstream information processing and dissemination.
