Device Co. Didn't Infringe UV Sterilization Patents, Judge Says

Law360, Los Angeles (May 9, 2013, 4:19 PM EDT) -- A Michigan federal judge on Thursday ruled that Infection Prevention Technologies LLC didn't infringe two of Lumalier Corp.'s patents for ultraviolet sterilization devices, granting IPT summary judgment of noninfringement on all patent claims in the dispute.

IPT sought a court declaration that its UV sterilization device, which is used to sterilize rooms using radiation, didn’t infringe Lumalier’s patented device used for the same purpose.
