Demand For Legal Services Down In Q1, Survey Shows

Law360, New York (May 9, 2013, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Demand for legal services dropped significantly in the first quarter of the year, with firm expenses outpacing barely perceptible revenue gains, according to the results of a survey announced Wednesday by Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group.

The Law Watch survey of 166 law firms also found that, while an improvement over last year's first quarter, a firm expense increase of 3.4 percent for the quarter cut into margins.
