China Examining Steel Tube Imports From US, Japan, EU

Law360, New York (May 10, 2013, 1:22 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said Friday that it had started an anti-dumping review on imported steel tubes originating in Europe, Japan and the U.S.

The ministry is reviewing dumping allegations arising from the import of high pressure, alloy-steel seamless tubes and pipes, after a Chinese company lodged a complaint. The tubes are usually used in superheaters for boilers at power plants.

The review is meant to last one year but may be extended, according to the ministry.
