NLRB Launches Video Testimony Pilot

Law360, New York (January 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. National Labor Relations Board announced on Friday that it is launching a pilot program to explore the use of video testimony in representation disputes when circumstances make live testimony impractical.

“We are conducting this pilot program in order to determine if video testimony allows the board to develop a more complete record or expedite the resolution of questions concerning representation in situations where a party, witness or representative is unable to appear in person at a hearing,” said Ronald Meisburg, general counsel for NLRB....
