E.U. Nears Agreement on Community Patent Reform

Law360 (November 25, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- After decades of legislative wrangling, the European Union is nearing agreement on a proposed Regulation on the Community Patent and on a proposal for amendments to the European Patent Convention.

The Competitiveness Council is expected to finally reach a political agreement on the hot-button issue at its meeting in Brussels on 26-27 November, the Council said as it presented its agenda on Monday.
