Novartis Tells High Court State Punitive Awards Are Illegal

Law360, New York (May 13, 2013, 7:11 PM EDT) -- Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. is continuing its appeal of a $1.2 million verdict all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, claiming that the family of a deceased woman who was allegedly disfigured by the bone drugs Aredia and Zometa is not eligible to receive punitive damages.
