Ex-Gersten Savage Bankruptcy Atty Sues Over Unpaid Wages

Law360, New York (May 13, 2013, 7:04 PM EDT) -- A former Gersten Savage LLP bankruptcy partner sued the defunct law firm and its founder Jay M. Kaplowitz in New York state court Friday alleging they owe him about $360,000 in unpaid wages and damages.

Paul Rachmuth, who joined Gersten Savage in 2009 from Reed Smith LLP, contends the firm and Kaplowitz, who also served as the firm's managing partner, reneged on his original compensation agreement, unilaterally decreased his compensation rate and consistently failed to pay him between 2010 and August 2012, when he left Gersten...
