Chilean Enviro Board OKs 310-MW Wind Park Project

Law360, New York (May 15, 2013, 6:54 PM EDT) -- Chile's environmental regulator has given power company E-CL the green light to complete its $685 million Calama wind farm project with the last of three wind parks, the company said in a statement Tuesday.

E-CL, which is part of the International Power GDF Suez Group, generates and transmits electricity and transports, distributes and sells natural gas. The company has gotten into the wind energy business in recent years to help combat the country's growing energy crisis.
