Ex-AMD Workers Ordered Not To Destroy, Use Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (May 16, 2013, 3:40 PM EDT) -- A group of former Advanced Micro Devices Inc. employees was prohibited by a Massachusetts federal judge Wednesday from destroying or using trade secrets they allegedly stole from their ex-employer while the company's suit against them is pending.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Hillman replaced a January temporary restraining order against the four employees, whom AMD accused of stealing confidential computer files as they made their exit to join computer graphics rival Nvidia Corp., with a preliminary injunction forbidding them from deleting, disclosing or copying the AMD information....
