EU, Switzerland Ink Antitrust Cooperation Pact

Law360, New York (May 17, 2013, 3:50 PM EDT) -- The European Union and Switzerland have agreed to team up to improve their respective antitrust enforcement efforts, the EU's competition watchdog said Friday.

The European Commission said in a statement that the EU and the Swiss Confederation had inked a deal intended to increase cooperation and coordinate enforcement between the two governments' antitrust regulators. Under the deal, the EC and the Swiss Competition Commission would be able to exchange information turned up in antitrust investigations, a provision that represents an “innovation” as compared to similar deals...
