Dental-Care Company Infringes Crest Patents, P&G Says

Law360, New York (May 20, 2013, 4:34 PM EDT) -- The Procter & Gamble Co. filed a suit Monday in Ohio federal court alleging that CAO Group Inc. had violated three of the personal-hygiene and cleaning-product giant's patents for its teeth-whitening product Crest Whitestrips.

The suit says three dental-care products made by Utah-based CAO infringed Procter & Gamble patents with claims for methods to whiten teeth as well as delivery systems for a tooth whitener and for any oral-care substance that involves the use of "a permanently deformable strip of material."
