New DOE Head Says Energy Efficiency Is Top Priority

Law360, New York (May 21, 2013, 6:40 PM EDT) -- Newly confirmed Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz told Department of Energy employees at his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday that his top priority as head of the agency will be advancing clean energy projects and improving energy efficiency.

The former Massachusetts Institute of Technology physics professor, who won overwhelming support from the Senate last week in a 97-0 vote approving his nomination, said that he was drawn to the new position primarily to help President Barack Obama move ahead with his clean energy and climate agenda....
