U.K. Energy Watchdog Finds No Collusion

Law360, New York (January 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Though energy prices in the U.K. have soared over the past few weeks, the cost spike is not the result of collusion among Britain's largest energy providers, according to Ofgem, the country's energy watchdog.

Ofgem said on Tuesday that the decision by several energy companies to raise prices is the result of an increase in global energy costs and is not evidence of any anti-competitive behavior.
