Enviros Again Lose Bid For EPA Ban On Lead Bullets

Law360, New York (May 28, 2013, 6:49 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit brought by environmental groups challenging the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's denial of their petition to prohibit lead bullets, the second time he has upheld the agency's rejection of a ban.

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan granted dismissal motions from the EPA and intervenors the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Association of Battery Recyclers at a hearing. He has not issued a written opinion.
