Eli Lilly Sues Perrigo To Block Generic Testosterone Drug

Law360, New York (May 29, 2013, 5:01 PM EDT) -- Eli Lilly & Co. sued generic-drug maker Perrigo Co. and its subsidiary on Friday in Indiana federal court over its alleged infringement of patents on Eli Lilly’s testosterone drug Axiron, a topical treatment used by adult males with low or no testosterone. 

Allegan, Mich.-based Perrigo Co. and subsidiary Perrigo Israel Pharmaceutical Ltd. have plans to create a generic version of the testosterone metered transdermal solution known as Axiron, as detailed in their abbreviated new drug application with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the complaint says....
