ConAgra Food Safety Exec Gets Pink Slip

Law360, New York (January 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- ConAgra Foods Inc. has reportedly fired the food safety executive who was brought in following a salmonella outbreak in the company's peanut butter that left the company facing a slew of consumer class actions across the United States.

ConAgra, still recovering from two sweeping recalls last year, claims that Paul A. Hall was dismissed from his post as vice president of global food safety because he breached the company's employment policies, according to various news reports on Wednesday.
