Law360, New York (May 28, 2013, 7:01 PM EDT) -- The American Petroleum Institute has joined lawmakers in urging the U.S. Department of the Interior to extend the 30-day comment period for its revised rules for hydraulic fracturing on public lands, releasing a letter Tuesday claiming that isn't enough time given the rule's complexity and potential impact.
