Convolve's Disk Technology Patentable: USPTO

Law360 (January 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences has ruled that Convolve Inc.'s patents on disk drive technology, the subject of the company's legal battle with rival Seagate Inc., are valid, Convolve announced on Thursday.

The ruling overruled motions by Seagate challenging the patentability of Convolve's claims, the company said. Convolve said that Seagate has not appealed the decision.
